Our technicians, Tyler "Hammer" Felts, Jim Kheao, and Jesse Wilson, are the latest techs to become Mobile Air Climate Society (MACS) certified under the EPA's Section 609 of the Clean Air Act for the safe handling of refrigerant. They understand the importance of refrigerant recovery and the effects of improper handling of refrigerants on the ozone layer and climate. To be certified, technicians must be trained by an EPA-approved program and pass a test demonstrating their knowledge in these areas.
#AdamsMobileAir was invited to attend Scurry-Rosser Elementary's first Vehicle Touch-a-Truck Career Day today. We spoke to children from Pre-K through 3rd grade about the mechanic trades and how we use our service vehicles, tools, and equipment daily. The kids were introduced to mechanic tools on a service truck, like cranes, hoses, air tanks, and toolboxes, and they even had the opportunity to use a few cool tools. We gave them a fun mechanic sticker for their hard hats. Adams Mobile Air was happy to highlight our line of work and describe a vocational opportunity and future career path for some of these youngsters.
