What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Currently we have 35 employee's, most work is done individually but other techs can join projects when needed

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:30am.-5:00pm. (Monday-Friday)

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All major equipment is provided. Things like diagnostic equipment, lifts, alignment racks, Roadforce tire/balance machine. Technicians will have to provide personal hand tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

Fridge, microwave, table, chairs

How many bays does your shop have?

25

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Varies between Shop work and Field work.

What is your parts ordering process?

We have 3 parts specialists that work with our technicians. Technicians will write up the order with the recommended parts for the repair. We will get parts as soon as possible to finish repairs. We also do keep inventory inhouse as well

No side work permitted

We are a family owned and operated company that looks to serve our community to the best of our abilities. With us you are not just a number but a part of our team with plenty of opportunity to advance your career

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We provide a lot of on the job training. We have a lot of intelligent, hard working technicians that are willing to answer questions and assist when needed. We send technicians to training classes in or around Texas.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We are always looking to train and advance a technicians career in our company. Many of our technicians started with us at an early time in their career and are still with us today. Advancement also coincides with the salary that technicians will make and we have no problem paying for a technician that wants to work

Can you describe your performance review process?

We run a formal review process at 90 days and Yearly.

What type of safety training is required?

We conduct morning tool box talks as well as on-going on the job safety training to get our technicians comfortable with all the equipment and vehicles.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Advanced technicians will work with other technicians when need, and as time permits. They help with any questions and repairs as needed

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We contribute to local schools, hospitals, and the community.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are perusing schools to work with.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We are looking to expand to different areas of the state. With expansion, we are looking to put a good team in place around us. This helps us succeed as a company, and them to succeed in their own individual career's

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

If you are willing to work hard for us in your career we are willing to take care of you. There will always be a spot in our company for motivated technicians.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes, it's a paper applications and usually takes about 5-10 minutes

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Just a basic touch point to get to know the technician and their skill set. We also use the phone screen to set up the face to face interview time.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

A sit down with Justin and another one of the Foremans where we dive deeper into their work history, technical background, certifications, and get to know them as an individual

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We perform background checks, drug screenings, and license standings

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do not perform an on the job skills assessment. A lot of that is figured out in the discovery process during the interview stage. Skills are monitored during the start of a techs career with us

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

1-2 days

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

This is heavily based on the candidate. If we feel very strongly about the technician decisions will be made immediately. If there is some hesitation the process could last a few days

Lube Technician Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00/year

Salary will be based on if they are doing mobile work. Salary can go up substantially if they want to join our mobile team. First 30 days will be hourly to get the technician comfortable. Then changed to flagged hours for the remaining time

A Level Technician Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00/year

Based on flagged hours Certifications and tenure will go into dictating salary

B Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00/year

Based on flagged hours Certifications and tenure will go into dictating salary

Provided by United Health Care, kicks in after 30 days of employment, employee pays the first $350.00 on an individual plan. Family plans will vary
