Radiant gas overhead. We have the Largest Portacools.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

4-5 people

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7- 6 and every third Saturday Shift will be discussed.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Lifts, AC Recovery machines, Lathes, tire and wheel balancer various other tool.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Yes, Heated and cooled upstairs and one small breakroom in the shop.

How many bays does your shop have?

52 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1400 CP ROs per month

What is your parts ordering process?

We use X time to call for the parts.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work earning a living can interfere. Family cars are no issue.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Large PortaCool units

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer Training through GM Global. We encourage you to advance your education and be everything you can be. We pay for every course you complete and pass. We also pay for you taking and passing the ASE tests.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We have talent from QS to Main line. We currently have 4 Trainees in the store from our QS Department. They have been moving up in to more Indepth repairs. Training is a must, and it allows you to become a World Class Technician. the service Drive and offices do the same thing we train and advance. Operators become cashiers and all the way to a fully trained Warranty Administrator.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Yearly performance reviews in any department we look at training and Attitude toward helping others. We discuss how to become more productive in the current position.

What type of safety training is required?

KPA is our safety training company. We all attend meetings and review guidelines for safety in every department.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Currently we have 4 techs being Mentored by 4 lead techs. The Trainee works hand in hand with the lead tech from paperwork to completing the repair.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We participate in fund raisers or silent auctions with the City of Arlington and Arlington School district for services.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Lincoln Tech has a very strong Standing in the area. Most of them will start in Quick Service

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Expanding to a Staff of 25 Main shop techs. I expect in 5 Years to be the most well trained and highly paid techs, Advisors and office staff.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

The management staff is goal oriented and open minded. We encourage employees to fine tune processes from booking a ticket or a valet bringing up a car to a tech being as efficient as possible.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have a standard application for any department and resumes are always welcome. Its 3 pages, takes about ten minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

A quick phone call is always good for the basics before coming in. If you're not local its good to call so you can ask quick basic questions.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews are done almost any time we are open. Usually, you get to talk with two managers. 15-20 minutes.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Background and drug test for any potential candidate. One cleared we will discuss duties of the position and pay.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Not always, your work history in the profession and a few relative questions for the position.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We will inform you in the second interview after passing the Drug and Backgound tests. It takes 3 to 5 days to clear.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Generally, a week to 10 days. After orientation we submit for any logins, you may need.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

If you cannot pass the drug test, please don't apply. We have a great environment of employees to work with. The building and shop have some age, but the staff is awesome.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $36.00 - $50.00/hour

All techs are paid commission.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $26.00 - $35.00/hour

All techs are paid commission.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00/hour

All techs are paid commission.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00/year

All Advisors are paid Commission.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00/hour

all techs are paid commission
