Top Shop Challenge: What is something you're noticing in the shop that is different in 2025 than in earlier years?
One big difference in 2025 is how our team is growing and evolving. We’re seeing more young technicians joining the industry, bringing fresh energy and a strong eagerness to learn. At the same time, our experienced techs are stepping up as mentors, sharing their knowledge and helping to shape the next generation. There’s also a stronger focus on teamwork and career growth, with more training opportunities and a push for internal promotions. It’s great to see how everyone is adapting and supporting each other

Dual Enrollment
We have an extensive dual enrollment program at Coastal Pines. In our tri-county area we have partnered with 4 local schools to bus their student to our campus. We have been teaching high school students over the last couple years Intro to Diesel and Diesel Electronics. This year we have 14 returning students taking Diesel Engines. We are excited to grow this program with our regional high schools.
