Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Geothermal heated floors in the driveway and the shop. No A/c, but the facility utilizes big ass fans and airflow instead of exhaust dropdowns.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have two shop foreman and all technicians are dual branded trained to help make your career fulfilled beyond your expectations.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open 7-6 Monday through Friday, 8-4 Saturday, and closed Sunday. Tech shifts usually run 8-5
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Built-in Snap-on tool boxes, Toyota and Subaru SST Toolboxes, a Wide range of BG fluid exchange machines, and all Toyota/Subaru Factory required tools including Table lifts, battery charges, TPMS tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Multiple tables, chairs, fridge, soda machine, microwaves, and even a waffle maker.
How many bays does your shop have?
18 Technician Stalls, 3 Express Stalls, Plus a new Hunter Alignment Rack. Radiant floor heating throughout the shop and service driveways keeping the shop nice to work in even during the cold weather times of year.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
2400-2600
What is your parts ordering process?
Very efficient with a top-notch experienced motivated parts staff. Service advisors do all of the parts ordering for repair orders.
What is your policy on side work?
You can work on your own vehicle with a manager's signature ahead of time after hours. Side work doesn't exist in our shop, we are here for the company. If you work on your vehicle the foreman must be present for obvious safety reason.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
ASE Certification is paid for and bonused by the dealer and manufacturer. Factory Training in Portland is paid for by both store brands. All techs are dual trained and this will continue!
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
All factory training for both Subaru and Toyota, In house leadership and mentoring training, and all ASE tests are paid for by the dealership when passed.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We always promote from within when possible. In every area of every department within our store, we have people that have been promoted and transferred when an opportunity opens up.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Usually annual, but also occurs prior to being advanced or promoted.
What type of safety training is required?
Monthly safety meetings and online safety modules are required during the hiring process.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We match a mentor and mentee together based on personality and best fit to benefit both parties. The program can range from three months to one year depending on the needs of the mentee.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Entrenched with local colleges and high schools.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We have team members on local auto advisory boards for local colleges along with visiting local high schools and colleges, encouraging young people to get into our industry.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Usually only when someone is moving from farther away and applying, but yes, Brian Carter, Mike Kingery, or shop foreman/service advisor Alex DePaz love speaking with potential team members ahead of time on the phone or in person.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Generally, get-to-know-you questions. We care more about heart and attitude; everything else can be trained.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background checks, drug screening, and driving record checks are performed.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Three days.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Two weeks.
Master/Master Diagnostic Technician(A Level Tech)
Work Expectations: Handling all types of work in the shop including heavy line work, advanced electrical diagnostics, high voltage diagnostic and repair, powertrain, and drivetrain concerns.
Pay Range: $66,000.00 - $120,000.00/year
($31.73 - $57.69/hr)
Flat rate pay ranges from 26-30 dollars an hour based on Certification, Experience, and Production. Each month additional production bonuses are available for high flagging technicians. Please contact us for additional details.
Expert Technician (B Level Technician)
Work Expectations: Handling most types of work in the shop including heavy line, basic electrical diagnostics, basic powertrain concerns, and all maintenance work.
Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00/year
($28.85 - $38.46/hr)
Flat rate pay ranges from 22-26 dollars an hour based on Certification, Experience, and Production. Each month additional production bonuses are available for high flagging technicians. Please contact us for additional details.
Certified Technician (C Level Technician)
Work Expectations: Handling all basic level maintenance work including, fluid exchanges, brakes, suspension, and tires/alignment.
Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00/year
($21.63 - $28.85/hr)

Maintenance Technician (Lube Technician)
Work Expectations: Entry Level Position with end goal of training into flat rate technician.
Pay Range: $34,000.00 - $40,000.00/year
($16.35 - $19.23/hr)
Hourly pay ranges from 16-18 dollars an hour based on Certification, Experience, and Production. The position is focused on leading to becoming a Flat Rate Technician. Please contact us for additional details.
