Shop Talk

What are some things about your techs that you're thankful for?

We have a lot to be thankful for here at Toyota/Subaru of Corvallis. On the technician side, we have some world-class technicians including two twenty-year-plus technicians Bob and Alex, and several five-plus-year technicians Nate, Nathan, Dustin, and Josh. Something extraordinary about our shop technicians is that no one is ever too busy to help each other whether that be on a test drive for a noise concern, or removing an engine. We are also very fortunate to have some of the most driven young technicians in the industry Carson, Connor, and Mitch. We appreciate your hard work and the sacrifices you make to keep our customers back on the road and our business flourishing. On another note something we think goes unsaid many times in our business is just much manufacturer support matters to building a successful dealership. We would like to personally thank The Toyota Portland Region, and the Subaru Portland Region for all of their training, and support in growing our technicians and in growing our business.

What are some things you wish the general public or kids about to graduate high school knew about being a tech?

We are so proud of Mitch this month. He hit the books hard and studied for multiple hours for a couple of weeks before going and taking some ASEs on Saturday. He absolutely crushed some of the hardest ASE tests A6, A7, and A8. Not only will his tests be paid for, but he will be seeing a $450 dollar bonus coming his way from Subaru!

Shoutout to Carson this month. Not only did he achieve Toyota Electrical Certified Status, but also claimed the title of Top Producer this month with a big 242 flat rate hours. Congrats Carson, we appreciate your hard work and hope you enjoy the big payday coming your way!
