We are now currently in our 2nd year of the Wake Tech Forklift Technician Program. The program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and hands-on skills in the maintenance and repair of forklifts. The program includes classroom, online and hands-on instruction on the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of hydraulic, electrical, electronic, power train and engine systems. In addition, course work is combined throughout with Work-Based Learning to further the student learning experience. Students earn a diploma over three semesters and attend class two days per week while participating in an apprenticeship the remaining three days.

🌟 Tom Wood Subaru Pet Adoption Event - A Paw-some Success! 🐾 On Saturday, October 5th, we had the pleasure of hosting our Pet Adoption Event at Tom Wood Subaru, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! With the sun shining down and a beautiful fall breeze, we welcomed 18 incredible animal shelters to our front lot, all thanks to our amazing partners, Cheri & Rhi from Pet Friendly Services. They truly went above and beyond by coordinating the shelters and offering discounted spay and neuter services to ensure the well-being of every pet in attendance. 🎉 The day was filled with excitement, and the community showed up in full force! We had a delicious cookout with burgers and hot dogs on the grill, and the turnout was heartwarming. Throughout the day, we had at least 20 people personally thank us for putting on such a wonderful event. We couldn’t have asked for a better response! 📺 We were also thrilled to have WRTV6 on hand to film their "Behind the Wheel" segment, which will showcase this memorable day and all the efforts to find these pets loving homes. 🐶 October is Subaru Loves Pets Month, and it’s the perfect time to shine a light on the challenges our furry friends and the animal welfare community are facing. Due to veterinary shutdowns during the pandemic, a nationwide vet shortage, and the ongoing housing crisis, shelters are more full than ever. Many are now home to dogs of all kinds, including purebreds. At this point, every dog is an underdog, making it even more important to support shelters in every way possible. Because of these challenges, the goal of "No Kill" is becoming harder to reach, but that won’t stop us from doing everything we can to help every pet find a home. With the support of Pet Friendly Services of Indiana, we’re raising awareness of the many wonderful shelter animals looking for their forever families. Together, we can make a difference and ensure more pets find the homes they deserve. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, adopted a pet, or helped spread the word. We look forward to seeing more adoptions in the coming weeks! 🐾 Pet Friendly Services continues to make a huge impact by connecting shelters with resources and offering discounted services to encourage adoptions. Their goal is simple: to give more animals a second chance. Thank you again to our community, shelters, and volunteers for making this event such a success! ❤️ #SubaruLovesPets #AdoptDontShop #PetFriendlyServices #CommunityLove #TomWoodSubaru
