Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
A week.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?
We are a laid-back family-owned business. This is reflected in our hiring process as our atmosphere is the opposite of a dealership where employees are pushed to sell services the customers do not need and never develop relationships with customers. Each technician leaves their business card in the vehicle they repair so if the customer has any questions they can reach out and get to know who is helping them with their repairs. 90% of our business is referrals We learn so much from sitting down face to face and talking to candidates which makes our hiring process authentic. You are never just a number!

Top Shop Challenge: What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?
Joe & Wendy attended a shop owners conference in April! Invigorating conversations with other shop owners learning how we can do things better at Joe's Slinger Service. Learned about some new technology and resources to use to make us better!
Top Shop Challenge: How does your shop handle end of year performance reviews?
Our shop handles performance reviews at the end of the year taking a look back at where we were last year at the same time, and to where the shop has gone in the year! We discuss individual growth and production numbers, as well as we toss in some social chit chat to catch up on our busy personal lives. We don't save any bad news or comments for this meeting as those are addressed as things happen! It's a very comfortable meeting.
