Technician Spotlight: Tell us about yourself. What is your name, role, and number of years you've been in the industry? Hello, My name is Wes Carson-Salazar I am Currently an A-technician at Carr Chevrolet. I’ve been in the industry for just a little over 8 years now. What attracted you to the industry / what do you like best about the industry? My passion for cars started when I was 10 years old when I built my first model car and when I turned 18 I started changing oil. I enjoyed working on cars and it led me to attending UTI and after being at a couple other dealers I’ve made Carr Chevrolet my home. My favorite part of the industry is being a member of a team that keeps the community moving. What do you wish the public knew about what it's like to be a technician? Our job isn’t just nuts and bolts and replacing parts. It takes a special skill set to be able to look at all the systems on a vehicle and use the resources provided to you to find a fix that’s most efficient for everyone involved in the diagnosis and repair process. What's the best thing about working at your current shop? What would you tell someone considering working at your shop? Carr auto group is a company that cares greatly about its employees and customers and does everything possible to keep everyone happy.
