It’s no secret that positivity in the workplace leads to higher productivity, happier employees, and improved employee retention. Creating a positive work environment is not only important to individual employees and the collective shop, but it’s crucial if we want to grow the automotive and diesel industry as a whole.

We wanted to help members of our industry spread positivity, so as a part of our upcoming TechMission Local Events, we’re creating a Recognition Room. The Recognition Room is a place for industry professionals to give a shoutout to a teacher, boss, mentor, co-worker, or anyone who has had a positive impact on their career.

How to Post in the Recognition Room

Our team is busy building the Recognition Room in time for the TechMission Local Events coming up in September. Posting a shout out will be just as easy as posting on Facebook. We’ll be sharing more details as we get closer to the events.

Ideas on What to Post in the Recognition Rooms

Thank a coworker for helping make your job just a little more enjoyable:

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Bob M. at Dave’s Auto Service for helping me out on a tough diag last week. Bob has worked in the industry for 20+ years, and he never hesitates to put down his wrench and help out the team when they’re stumped. It’s guys like Bob that make this industry so great to work in!

Give a shout out to an instructor who helped shape your career:

Shout out to Mr. Johnson from Auto Tech University. He really gave me an appreciation for this industry and taught me the importance of continuing to educate myself in order to grow in my career.

Recognize your manager for investing in your personal and professional growth:

Feeling refreshed after another EV training session put on by my employer, Larry’s Automotive! I appreciate every opportunity to continue to grow in this profession!
