I started wrenching in full-service gas stations in the 1980's then 10 years later I felt techs could be treated better, make the money we should and be appreciated and the customers are still very happy about the quality and the cost and work done. I started Craig's Car Care in Lucas Texas in 1996 and it took me a while to learn how to run a business but after a heck of a lot of hard work we are now able to pay our A techs 100K+ a year on a guaranty with all kinds of great bonus incentives, General service, C and B techs make a very decent pay check as well (look it up at the link on the bottom of this post) plenty of great work, 5 days a week -7 to 5- no weekends, with all kinds of other benefits. This is not easy for an independent and we still have work to do. Our shop is up to date, everyone here matters!!!!, management is kick ass. Keep up the great work you are doing and before leaving the industry look around for the right long term shop for you !!!!! Thanks for sharing this also. This is a great industry! Many more shops are getting their acts together! The right shop is out there for you so please do not give up!!!!! https://wrenchway.com/shops/craigs-car-care
