Any tips or tricks for a woman entering the automotive service technician world? BTW, I'm looking for an entry-level position at a Mercedes Benz in the Saint Paul, Minnesota area. Thank you!

These tips are for any starting tech: 1. Have a teachable attitude. No matter how much you know there is always more you can learn. 2. The tool truck is your paycheck's worst enemy. 3. Buy the cheapest tools you can find. When you break it, you have used it enough, pay cash for the best tool you can afford. Buying used name brand tools is a great way to save money. So is figuring out who the original manufacturer is and buying from them instead of the tool truck brand. 4. Ignore the haters. Do good work, be willing to learn jobs no one wants to do, and be willing to advocate for yourself tactfully. 5. Always look for ways to improve your skills. Don't settle for just dealership training. Seek out other places to learn as well.
