Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
There is Heat and AC in the Office Areas. There is Heat throughout the shop as well.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Our total team runs about 28 people. Depending on department, you'd likely be working with around 4-5 peers.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm. We arrange 8 hour shifts inside classic business hours to make them work best for your lifestyle! We believe in work/life balance so, No weekends and no second shift!
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Kremer provides scan tools (Snap on, Bosch, etc..), alignment machines (Hunter & Bee Line), and other miscellaneous and Specialty tools that are needed on specific occasions.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our breakroom has TV, Fridge, Microwaves and other essentials you need for break times. They also have snacks for purchase.
How many bays does your shop have?
31 bays and a state-of-the-art oversized paint booth
How many repair orders do you average per month?
400-500 Work orders a month
What is your parts ordering process?
Service advisors are given autonomy to choose their preferred vendor partners. When a new job comes it, it is their job to pull together the estimate and order the parts as needed.
What is your policy on side work?
We allow our technicians to work on their personal vehicles within our shop. They only need to get permission from their supervisor the day before.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes - Choose your own adventure! Any industry sponsored continued education (such as Napa, ASE, etc) that you're interested in pursuing, let's talk about it!
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We have Journeymen technicians in our ranks who started with us 25+ years ago, while they were still in school or looking to break in to the industry. We are all for growth and development through continued education. Additionally, because we have many departments (spring, collision, heavy-duty truck/trailer, RV and automotive) , you can gain exposure to a tremendous amount of diverse jobs
Can you describe your performance review process?
It is the philosophy of the Company that ongoing communication and constructive feedback are important parts of the employment relationship. Normally, employees will be evaluated after a few months on the job and on an annual basis after that.
What type of safety training is required?
Right To Know Training happens on an annual basis - this training helps keep our team up to date on all the safety procuasions to ensure you stay safe on the job! Beyond that, it would be on a role-to-role basis.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We do many Journeymen techs with 15-20 years of experience in each department - so there are lots of opportunities for an apprenticeship type of partnership
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We are very active with young trades people - we sit on the board of a local Community College, participate in onsite job fairs, help candidates do mock interviews, open our shop doors to tours, etc.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We are always open to lending out time and expertise to those looking to join the trades!
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
It depends on the positions/level of urgency of the fill
What do your in-person interviews entail?
A typical interview involves 30-45 minutes of formal sit down interview with the Owner and the General Manager, followed by a tour of the shop and meeting the team.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We conduct a drug and background screen, as well as, a fitness for duty physical.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually within a day or two
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
This depends on the urgency of the position - on average probably 2-3 weeks
