Body Shop Estimator

We’re currently seeking a Collision Estimator who’s ready to grow with us—not just into a job, but into a career path with the vision of stepping into the Body Shop Manager role in the future.
Position Overview
As an Estimator, you’ll be the bridge between our customers, technicians, and insurance partners. You’ll assess vehicle damage, create accurate repair estimates, and negotiate with insurance companies to ensure fair and timely settlements. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair needs using visual inspection and diagnostic tools
- Create detailed, accurate estimates for labor and materials
- Collaborate with the Collision Center Manager to review and finalize estimates
- Negotiate repair costs and timelines with insurance companies and customers
- Order necessary parts and generate work orders
- Maintain clear, ongoing communication with customers throughout the repair process
- Manage multiple repair jobs simultaneously with precision and efficiency
- Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet Kremer’s high standards
- Finalize paperwork and ensure customer satisfaction at delivery

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills; experience with CCC Pathways or similar estimating software is a plus
- Excellent math and analytical skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially with insurance companies
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
- Customer-focused with a professional, service-oriented attitude
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Shop’s General Manager (Previously the Body Shop Manager)
Collaborates with: Body shop technicians, insurance adjusters, parts vendors, and customers
