Jackson Township, NJ
At the OCVTS Jackson Center I am preparing students for a position as an entry-level technician. TBA to you older guys. (tires, batteries, accessories) We are a two year program and focus on ASE test prep in the classroom supported by relative shop tasks. Four areas each year. We will have completed the Brakes unit by mid february and begin on Steering and Suspension. At the start of every year I teach oil changes and tire mounting and balancing as well as proper lifting and use of jacks and jack stands, and hand tools. I also encourage students to obtain there 609 certification each year before the hot weather comes. These are kids mostly under eighteen and will need your patience and guidance. But, I work a lot on yes,no,please and thank you and appropriate behavior when in a public setting and most of them "get it"
