8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) 8:00am-4:00pm (Saturday, Rotating Shift), Usually ends up being just once a month

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All lifts, tire tools, diagnostic equipment, specialty and manufacturer specific tools

1,300-1,500

What is your parts ordering process?

We operate with a MPI ordering system. Both the technician and/or the service advisor can order the parts needed for repairs. We will receive parts as soon as possible, and when they come in the person who ordered the part will be notified.

What is your policy on side work?

As long as it's not a competing vehicle

We are a family owned, and operated dealership that has been serving our community for 40 years.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We strongly encourage our technicians to keep up-to-date with our industry. We will pay for all ASE certification when they are passed, and manufacturer specific trainings as well.

Career growth with us is endless depending on the technicians. We will train lube technicians all the way up to master techs,

Can you describe your performance review process?

There are 30 day, 90 day, and quarterly reviews. During the 30 and 90 day reviews we discuss area's of improvement, as well as, action items and goals for the technician. Our Quarterly reviews mainly focus on the goals discussed and what we have to do to hit them.

What type of safety training is required?

Human resource training that is completed during technicians orientation. Additional OSHA training is provided as well.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Apprentice will team up with a foreman or team lead. They will work side by side and junior technician will be able to learn hands on, and ask any additional questions during repairs. With this comes a hybrid pay plan that includes an hourly and flat-rate pay scale. That way technicians can ease into the flat-rate structure.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We participate in Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Club, and several other local foundations.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Several local colleges (4-5), Tri-Tech High School, Perry College, Walla Walla Tech College to name a few.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, typically done with fixed ops direction. Discussion includes quick touch points on technicians resume, driving record for insurance purposes, and if they can drive a manual transmission.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

This is completed with the fixed ops director and one of the service managers. We discuss work history, technicians skill set, what their comfortable with, and diagnosis questions. We also discuss career paths and goals that the technician would like to achieve.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Background check and drug screen are completed before hire. We also provide an online personality test.

Couple of days

About a week, depending on how long it takes to schedule interviews throughout the process.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00/year

Flat-rate + Bonus Tiers Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Technicians

B Level Technician Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/year

Flat-rate + Bonus Tiers Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Technicians

C Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00/year

Flat-rate + Bonus Tiers Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Technicians

Service Advisor Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00/year

Commission based and CSI

Service Manager Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00/year

Salary + Commission Position could also see a much higher top end salary

Lube Technician Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00/year
