Just last month, we had Josh Arnold on our podcast, Beyond the Wrench, and he explained that when working on engine repairs, he likes to listen to audiobooks to maximize his time working and learning at the same time. If you missed it, you can check out the full episode here: https://wrenchway.com/blog/improving-habits-as-a-flat-rate-technician/

This month we celebrated the retirement of one of our longest-serving employees. This is the second retirement this year, the other one being our service manager who retired in March after serving here for 47 years. The photo shows our former service manager, Ben (retired in March), Richard (retired this month), and Dick Bascom (owner).
Richard started working here not too long after he graduated from high school. There was a short period of time early on where he went to help his dad, but then he was back here and spent the rest of his career here. He was our night shift foreman for a number of years during that time. Over the years he has helped train many, many techs. His skills and expertise will be missed, but we wish him the best in his retirement!
