Mount Horeb, WI
We have a robust Ag Sciences program with an associated local career pathway titled "Diesel, Power, and Structural Systems". Ag Mechanics courses currently include Ag Mechanics I, Ag Mechanics II, Ag Welding I, and Ag Welding II. We also partner with Madison College in two, dual credit welding courses. We are revamping our Ag Mechanics II curriculum to include more diesel related coursework and have been receiving mentoring from Madison College instructors. Our goal is to embed the Madison College 1 credit Diesel Fundamentals course into the Ag Mechanics II course and, in the future allow students to earn Dual Credit. We are currently running our course with a small number of students in an informal test run of the project. We are set with written curriculum but are in need of more hands on labs. We have a great shop set-up that includes large doors, ventilation, and basic hand tools. We have the ability to acquire more tools if needed. We have a donated diesel engine. We need ideas regarding the kinds of labs appropriate for beginners and the equipment we need to acquire to carry out the labs.

I'm assuming these labs would be entry level repairs. Can you interface with the donated engine electronically to view codes?
