Does your shop have a mentorship program?
Technician
Was told 7 months ago they were going to bring someone in to work with me, an almost 40 yr employee of the shop, yet still no one. We had a decent kid with promise, but he left for better opportunities and pay. I think many shops are missing out on a great opportunity to bring a yng kid up into the career by learning directly from an experienced tech. Someday those older techs will be walking in and retiring, then what do you have? (edited)
