This month, we take a moment to honor the remarkable journey of Greg Campbell, a distinguished United States Marine Corps Veteran. Greg dedicated five years of his life in service to his country, enlisting in 2004 and bravely serving until 2009. Throughout his tenure in the Marines, Greg ascended through the ranks, attaining the esteemed positions of Corporal and Platoon Sergeant. His tour of duty included significant contributions to both Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), demonstrating unwavering commitment and fortitude in the face of adversity. Upon concluding his service, Greg embarked on a new chapter in the automotive industry, a path he chose with a profound passion for cars and a deep-seated love for the vibrant atmosphere of car rallies, where Subaru held a prominent place during that era. The transition, however, was not without its challenges. Greg had to make significant mental adjustments to effectively integrate into his new profession. Despite these challenges, his determination and leadership qualities shone through. Greg's journey commenced humbly, starting as a lube technician, where he demonstrated dedication, diligence, and a thirst for knowledge. Through tireless effort and an unyielding commitment to excellence, he ascended to the esteemed rank of master technician. Today, he stands as the pillar of our operation, serving as our valued dispatcher. In his current capacity as a dispatcher, Greg's background in military leadership plays a vital role. He is responsible for the meticulous task of assigning vehicles to each technician as they arrive for service. Precision is paramount in this role, and Greg's military discipline and attention to detail make him exceptionally well-suited for this responsibility. Greg's successful transition from military service to his role as a dispatcher was greatly facilitated by the support he received from the Portland Vet Center. He holds this resource in high regard and enthusiastically recommends it to any fellow veterans undergoing a similar transition. In honoring Greg, we extend our deepest gratitude for his immeasurable contributions to our country and for the invaluable role he continues to play in our team. His journey stands as a testament to the resilience and adaptability of our veterans, and we are privileged to have him as an integral part of our community. Thank you, Greg, for your service, your dedication, and the extraordinary impact you continue to make each day.
