Full tool box awarded Ian McKenzie ( tall kid) both he and Christian(one holding banner) are attending Lawson Community College . Both will be working side by side at Carl Cannon Chevrolet during their apprenticeship phase of there time at Lawson. Christian is this years SkillsUSA Automotive Service Technology state of Alabama champion. He won district 2 years in a row and placed second in state last year. Christian and I will be traveling to Atlanta for this year's National SkillsUSA competition. He has also earned his 10 ASE ENTRY-LEVEL CREDENTIALS as well as working full time in a dealership his senior year. Ian McKenzie was awarded 4k in toos from an anonymous donor through A local Non-profit organization The Walker Area Community Foundation. Ian placed 3rd in State SkillsUSA competition as well as earning all 10 of his ASE ENTRY-LEVEL CREDENTIALS. As an ambassador for the Walker County Center of Technology Ian met with 8th and 9th grade students at our career day and encouraged students to attend our programs. I am so proud of these young men and can not wait to see what their future holds.
