What are your thoughts on working Saturdays or Sundays?
Educator
I understand the community needs for a shop to be open on Saturdays due to there work schedule. Personally I believe that many technicians put there mind and body into the career for more than 50-60 hours a week. Technicians need to rest in order to be more productive. Family also takes on the burden of weekend work.
Technician
I have to work every fourth Saturday, and have done it for the last 19 years, aside from deployment time in the military, and at 55 am tired of it. Financially it does not work anymore. Most of the work goes to the quick lane kids, and the senior techs are left with left over warranty work or nothing.
