When recommending maintenance work to a customer, what is your favorite method or what do you find the most successful?
Educator
Yes. It's hard for many customers to visualize what you are talking about, so bringing them to look can be helpful. Some don't care, in which case a simple listing is adequate. Our students also benefit from showing the customers, because they are required to provide an explanation that makes sense.
Technician
Show, don't tell. MPI form is a waste of time that gets stapled to the back of the RO to never see the light of day again. Far better to show the customer and if that is not possible to at least make a video. Much less likely to have the customer decline the work if they can see for themselves and have it explained why they need something.
