auto industry career day
automotive industry day April 22 2025 at JCTC 1:30-6:30pm invite manufacturer dealers and auto shops in the greater Louisville Ky. area to meet morning or afternoon students. Students can come through the designated area and present their resume to industry representatives and hold interviews if desired.

ASE Certification
Our school is preparing for its Five (5) Year Review with ASE for Master Technician Certification. This review is a comprehensive program certification process. ASE is extremely helpful with each step of the process and ensures you follow all standards and guidelines, while assisting you achieve the desired certification. With that in mind, after the first round of ASE certification tests administered in November, Three out of Seven seniors passed every single ASE Automotive test (10 total), Two more seniors passed nine tests. Retesting will commence in May. As of this date, all seven seniors are employed, with three currently on CIE, and two waiting for approval of CIE. Two seniors are pursuing after school/sports employment in the Auto/Diesel field.

Skilled Trades Field Trip (Feb 2025)
This month we will be attending Project First Rate's 14th Annual Building & Construction Trades Career Expo at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Training Center in Rockford, IL. This event highlights registered apprenticeship programs in the building trades. The Expo offers hands-on activities and demonstrations covering a dozen trades and their respective programs.

Ferris State's William Bennett has interned the last two summers for Wärtsilä at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After graduating this spring with his bachelor’s degree in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology he’ll begin his career with the company as a field service engineer.
