Take the 2024 Technician Pay Survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3Y5J7LL According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the average pay of an automotive technician is $46,970 per year ($22.58 per hour), and the average pay for diesel technicians is $54,360 per year ($26.14 per hour). They also cite the highest 10% receiving pay of around $75,000. We know from the 1,000+ shops on WrenchWay and countless others we work with that this data is not accurate. In order to get a better understanding of the earning potential of technicians, we are inviting automotive and diesel technicians to fill out the 2024 Technician Pay Survey. Individual responses are anonymous, and everyone who completes the survey will be automatically entered in a drawing to win some cool prizes.
