Service leaders AND technicians It’s time to leave the phrase “it’s all just nuts and bolts” in the past. We know very well that’s not the case. In modern times it emphasizes ignorance and overconfidence, overconfidence is your weakness. A vehicle finished being built on the assembly line is a paper weight until it’s programmed with the software that runs it’s very advanced electronics. Just a general thought of an old photo I had found from about a decade ago in which I was programming this Saturn using a tech2 as a pass through device. How the times have changed.
Technician
Customer asked me awhile back if I could rebuild a front diff in a 4x4 john deere mind you I'm a semi truck mechanic. It WAS just nuts and bolts. That being said I replace that phrase when talking with my apprentices to," You can do anything If you have the recipe." (edited)
