IS ELECTRIC POWER THE DEATH OF THE DIAGNOSTICIAN?
Technician
theres a lot of diagnostics in hybrid/ev realm of passenger vehicles at least. there are still many systems that require traditional diagnostics and repair, as well as an understanding of the high/mid high voltage systems. it requires a different type of diagnostician in my eyes, due to the inert risks involved and requiring a diagnostic and repair strategy that is generally different from traditional in how you approach it. as for heavy/off road diesel hybrid i.e. like edison motors, i think that will be the way that sticks, as well as lp/nat gas/hydrogen getting more prevalent as an option.
