On average, how many hours per quarter do you estimate you spend on training?
Technician
I wanted to say less than 5, but once or twice a year gm releases a batch of classes that might push it over the 5 hour a quarter mark. Usually just 3 hours a quarter, with a sprinkling of "staying up to date" in the middle. There hasn't been a good training class released in 4 years. Lot of OJT (which means lots of learning from failure) but not a lot of good classes.
Technician
I schedule 3 hours per week for my apprentice and I to do online training to prepare for classes
