Mechanics, you can't control everything, but, without the proper tools, you can't control anything. This applies as much to your career, as it does to life, emotion, and conversation. Red Green used to say: "If it needs to move, and doesn't, use WD40; if it moves, and it shouldn't, use Duct Tape." If only life was that black and white. In life, as it is in the shop, there is a lot of grey (and brown). Bolts that don't move, don't always come out with JUST WD-40. Conversely, it may be more appropriate to use the correct adhesive, or replace the part, and not put it back with duct tape. (unfortunately, we've all seen "those" repairs) ...and SST-001 (BFH) is definitely not the answer when dealing with plastics... More contextually though, if you're feeling out of control (anxiety), it may mean you don't have the right tools in your proverbial tool kit, to quench your anxiousness. So, what should you do about that? 1. Seek professional help. You may not NEED a therapist, but maybe, they can point you in the right direction. 2. Are you eating right, sleeping right, exercising right, and staying hydrated? 3. Do you have a circle of people you trust to lift you when you're down? These 3 things have helped me more than I can measure in the last 18-24 months. I know where I would be without Service Drive Live and my boys in 10 Mill...and it's not good. So, if you need help finding a professional or figuring out exercise and nutrition, I have folks in my network who can help you. Reach out to them, do your due diligence, and find someone who truly wants to help you. If you need a circle of people, that want nothing but to see you win, hit us up, we're here to help. j.
