The first outing in the new race car was a short one. The only part on the car that the kids didn't touch was the part that failed. It turns out that 174k miles is NOT the correct time for an engine to become and endurance race motor... who knew!

Williamsburg Technical College (WTC) is located in Kingstree, SC. WTC offers associates degrees, diplomas and certificates in a variety of disciplines. One of the industrial/technical programs we offer is in Automotive Technology. Our automotive programs are offered as dual enrollment (available to local and eligible high school students) and they are offered to all other community/technical college students. Not only is there a shortage of technicians in our industry, but there is also a shortage of instructors. It is no easy task being a teacher, and it takes a special personality to excel at it. Have you ever considered being an auto or diesel instructor? Please explain why or why not in the comments below.
Educator
I can't speak for other states, but in PA teachers in the mechanic trades are not required to have any degree to start teaching but they have to pursue their teaching degree over the next 10 years. The good news is that nearly all schools reimburse the money spent on those teaching courses.
