I was surprised to find in order to see what the schools are asking for in donations from dealers and oems is only accessible through payment.
Industry Partner/Vendor
Hi Marshall We’ve devoted our entire company to the mission of improving careers in auto & diesel. Obviously we have to pay our staff and all other expenses. We give away a lot of content for free and never charge schools or individuals. Shops pay a small membership fee in order for us to do what we do. We currently do not generate a profit. When shops pay a fee, we want to make sure they get value. Although we do a lot of charitable things, they aren’t paying for charity. Giving them first access to schools is a key part of what they pay for (in addition to unlimited posts on the job board). Our schools team does keep an eye on open school requests. There are times when those do not get fulfilled from our paid shops. We then reach out to other local shops (non-paying ones) to help the schools. Hope that background helps. I wish everything we did could be free, but the paying shops are what make it all possible.
