Local Solutions to a National Problem

WrenchWay is building on our success in the automotive and diesel industries to launch School Assist for all skilled trades.

Over the last few years, we have successfully run this program with over 850 schools to promote and improve careers in automotive and diesel. The program has worked so well that our school partners asked us to expand it to all skilled trades programs.

School Assist will always be free for schools, while companies pay a small annual fee to cover our costs of managing and growing the program.

How It Works

Multiple Schools on One Platform

We’ve already signed up over 850 schools to participate. We guarantee you will have access to at least 15 schools in your area. If you have schools you’d like to see join the program, let us know. We’ll work to get them signed up. It’s free for schools.

Schools Post Program Updates & Requests

At the beginning of each semester, schools post requests for things they could use help with from local businesses. This may include on-site tours, job shadows, guest speakers, parts or tool donations, part-time employment for students, etc. They also post updates about their program, such as number of students enrolled, classes offered, career day dates, and more.

Businesses Assist with School Requests

As a sponsor company, you can view the school requests and program updates. If you’re able to help out, then message the school directly within School Assist. Even if a school doesn’t have an open request, you can message them if you’d like to work together. You’re also able to post any available resources you have. Instructors are able to browse listed resources and message the companies.

Promoting the Trades & the Companies that Support Them

By helping out the schools, not only are you helping them improve their programs, but we also spread the word to students, parents, and the general public about these partnerships. This helps promote the amazing business and schools in your community, while also highlighting careers in the trades.

What Our Customers Say

“I want to thank WrenchWay for helping local schools. If it wasn’t for WrenchWay, I’m not sure we would’ve connected with Ben Zimmerman, Automotive Instructor at Verona Area High School. I responded to one of Ben’s requests on WrenchWay School Connect for tool and equipment donations, and our partnership has grown from there.”
Steven Lehl, Mercedes Benz Shop Foreman, Zimbrick European

“Overall, WrenchWay School Connect has been a great resource for our program, and a really valuable tool.”

David Carter, Auto Mechanics Instructor, Great Lakes Adventist Academy
“That’s really the reason we got connected with WrenchWay—to be able to connect with the schools, post items that we have to offer, and respond to school requests. It takes a village to get this done and we can’t do it ourselves. WrenchWay does a great job at connecting the two.”
Michael Hoerstmann, Service Manager, Metro Ford of Madison
“It’s just nice to know that there are other places to reach out to for help and WrenchWay has been the first to offer any type of assistance outside of my administration.”
Richard Wakefield, Instructor, Sanford-Fritch High School

“Our experience has been amazing! WrenchWay has helped us grow our shop and allowed us to reach out to the Seattle School District to get more exposure. Also, WrenchWay has helped us fully staff our shop for both Honda and Toyota!”

Melissa Miller, COO & General Manager, Honda of Seattle & Toyota of Seattle
