What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday thru Friday and 7:30 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. Rotating a Line Tech and Express Lube Tech on Saturdays
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide a Specialty tool room for all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram vehicles. A/C equipment, jacks, oil drains among other things too many to list
What type of break room facility is provided?
We provide a heated and cooled break room which includes a refrigerator and microwave and tons of storage.
How many bays does your shop have?
14 bays with two post lifts 1 flat bay and 1 bay for heavy duty vehicles with a four-post portable lifting system.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Average varies month to month.
What is your parts ordering process?
We use the Xtime based system currently.
What is your policy on side work?
We do not allow side work to be done in the shop.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We use the Stellantis training programs provide in Dealer connect.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We are a self-promoting dealership. We look forward to seeing our employees grow within the dealership.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We have a 6 month and a yearly performance review.
What type of safety training is required?
We use Complynet for safety and compliance training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have a mentoring program in our Shop with helps us promote from within as stated.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We involve ourselves as a whole Dealership.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Usual prescreening with the manager follow by a second interview with General Manager

A Level Technician
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hour
Flat-rate based pay structure based upon certifications. Hybrid pay structure mixture of bonuses for hours turned, hours working, upsells and in certain cases mileage.
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00/hour
Flat-rate based pay structure based upon certifications. Hybrid pay structure mixture of bonuses for hours turned, hours working, upsells and in certain cases mileage.
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour
Flat-rate based pay structure based upon certifications. Hybrid pay structure mixture of bonuses for hours turned, hours working, upsells and in certain cases mileage.
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $12.00 - $60.00/hour
Hybrid pay structure mixture of bonuses for hours turned, hours working, upsells and in certain cases mileage.
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00/hour

Guardian vision insurance can help you maintain your vision as well as detect various health problems. York Automotive Group vision insurance offers you specific eye care benefits. Our policy covers routine eye exams and other procedures, and provides specified dollar amounts or discounts for the purchase of eyeglasses and contact lenses. This benefit is offered on a voluntary basis.
- Retirement Plan Offered
- York Automotive offers a competitive retirement plan benefit. Employees that participate in our 401(k) through Vanguard will receive a matching contribution from York Automotive. Employees will receive a 100% match on the first 3%, and a 50% match on the next 2%. An employee contributing 5% will receive a 4% match from the company. This match is 100% vested from day one of participation in the plan.
- Sick Leave Offered
- All employees are given 40 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO) after 90 days of employment. The annual 40-hour allotment resets each year on the anniversary of your hire date.
- Vacation Offered
- Vacation is offered after 1 year of employment. 1 year- 5 days 3 years- 10 days 5 years- 15 days **Tier based, not accumulated. Vacation time is issued on an anniversary date basis.
- Paid Holidays Offered
- Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day when they fall on a working day.
- ST / LT Disability Offered
- Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, and Critical Illness coverage can be purchased on a voluntary basis through Guardian Insurance.
- Life Insurance Offered
- York Automotive Group provides all full time employees with $15,000 in Basic Life/AD&D Insurance. Additional Voluntary Life Insurance can be purchased for employees, their spouse, and their children. This coverage is provided through Guardian Insurance.
