We provide a majority of special tools, technicians will have to provide their own hand tools
What type of break room facility is provided?
Fridge, microwave, table, chairs, the training module is there as well

What is your parts ordering process?
Parts manager orders all parts, we do stock quite a few parts in-house. Parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs
What is your policy on side work?
Must be authorized by a manager, if it's the techs personal vehicle they can work on it

We always encourage our technicians to continue their education and build on their skill set. Our company will pay for all continued education

Can you describe your performance review process?
Annual reviews. Discussion is based on the job titles. Techs- Discussion includes if the tech still feels like they're a fit. What are their likes and dislikes, do they have everything they need to do their job well, and finally performance throughout the year
What type of safety training is required?
Forklift training class
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We provide a helper program. First, technicians are put took on an MPI rack. Then slight maintenance work. Finally, we move them into a help position under a tech. This can last a year or two. The experienced tech will be available to answer questions and help with repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We are a part of the Chamber of Commerce, and participate in school events. This is something we're looking to expand on in the future
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We would try and partner with local schools if possible

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We like to do a video conference first. This is a light gauge to see if the candidate is a good fit, and their interest level in the position as well
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interview is done by our GM. Discussion includes the candidate's skill set, tools, past employment, why their looking to make a move, what they are looking for in a career, and finally, the candidate's thoughts on growth
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Drug tests are a yes, front-end people will get a personality test, other tests are going to be based on the position that's being hired for

Usually within a few days

Hourly paid position, after review they can earn a percentage of GP
Service Manager
Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00/year
Salaried plus 1% GP Yearly Bonus
Student Tech / Apprentice
Pay Range: $12.00 - $15.00/hour

Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00/hour
Flat-rate pay structure, dependent on experience
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hour

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00/hour

Service Advisor
Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00/year
Base + commission with a 2.5% GP

Technician Spotlight: Tell us about yourself. What is your name, role, and the number of years you’ve been in the industry?
Shop foreman I began in the automotive industry 19 years ago in 2005 when I was 15 as a tire and lube technician. I worked close with some good minds at the shop I was in to learn and pickup skills to aid me moving forward.
