The shop is heated.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
The team is around 35-40 people.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The shop is 1st shift starting at 6am.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Large torque wrenches, air tools and impacts are provided as well as chocks jacks and jack stands.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The break room offers a fridge, microwaves and a good sized table.
How many bays does your shop have?
The truck shop has 8 bay doors.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
600-800 repair orders a month.
What is your parts ordering process?
The parts are ordered by our parts team.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work is fine as long as it doesnt interfere with your work schedule.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer paid online training.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We have 4 levels within the shop that you are able to work up to. There are also lead positions in each level along with foreman positions.

Based on work efficiency.
What type of safety training is required?
We show each employee the correct way of performing a job.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
The younger techs are paired up with more experienced techs.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We strive to work with students out of tech school.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We strive to work with students out of tech school.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We will have a 5-10 minute phone interview before we schedule an in person.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
They entail a tour of the facilities and a talk with either a foreman or the shop manager about mechanics. There may also be an assessment over diesel mechanics.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We perform drug screening before your start date.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We perform a written assessment on diesel mechanics.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
You should receive an offer within 1-3 days.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Within the week.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic $2000-$4000 SIGN ON BONUS
Pay Range: $20.00 - $35.00/hour
Pay is based on experience and knowledge of the equipment.
Trailer Technician/Mechanic $2000-$4000 SIGN ON BONUS
Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00/year
Pay is based on experience and knowledge of the equipment.
