Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

We have a 10,000 square feet shop that has new heavy duty insulation with fans and heat.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have 20 team members at this location.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Our service team works 4 days per week. Monday-Thursday. Fridays are optional for additional overtime.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all specialty tools including state of the art diagnostic equipment.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a break room with a large refrigerator, coffee, water machine, and other appliances.

How many bays does your shop have?

Our shop currently has 8 technician bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Repair orders vary each month depending on the size and complexity of the jobs. We work with our team to provide top level service to all customers, so we do not put much stock in how quickly we turn work orders or how many are turned each day.

What is your parts ordering process?

We understand that technician time is invaluable, so we work to keep all or systems as efficient as possible. Our parts system is very simple. You send a message to the parts team with your parts request and the job information and they fill the order with your parts and put them on your shelf for you to complete your job.

What is your policy on side work?

We make no attempt to control what our associates do with their personal time unless they are working on our customer machines outside of the business.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer continues training for our technicians. We have virtual training, on the job, and in person training classes.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We are a growing company with tremendous opportunity for growth for the right candidates. We have already purchased property to open our second location in Atlanta, so the sky truly is the limit.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We conduct formal yearly performance reviews as well as informal quarterly one on one meetings with management. The quarterly meetings are a 2 way review. The associate to let his manager know what is going on and what they need from management to make our team better and vise versa.

What type of safety training is required?

We provide the safety training for our associates.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have an official training program for new or less experienced technicians.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We feel it is important to give back to our community. We frequently sponsor events within the community as well as participate in events to donate our time.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

This is currently handled at the manufacture's level, however, we are working to get more involved with the high schools and tech schools in our area.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We have a saying at WesPro: "We will make WesPro JCB a household name." In 5 years, we will be a household name to a lot of people. In 10 years we will be a household name to everyone.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have an application available on our website.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We prefer to conduct in person interviews. We believe that process is better for our team and our prospective new associates to get an idea of who we are and we can all make a better decision than just over the phone.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews are conducting by our service manager and dealer principal and entail just basic conversations to get to know each other. We ask questions of our candidates and expect our candidates to ask questions in return.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes. We conduct background checks and drug screenings for all new hires.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We like to move as quickly as possible, however with vacation and holiday schedules, it can take up to two weeks for an offer or rejection letter.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Typically 3-4 weeks.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hour

We offer very competitive compensation for our employees at all levels. Pay will be based on background and skill set

B Level Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

We offer very competitive compensation for our employees at all levels. Pay will be based on background and skill set

C Level Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hour

We offer very competitive compensation for our employees at all levels. Pay will be based on background and skill set

Lube Technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour

We offer very competitive compensation for our employees at all levels. Pay will be based on background and skill set
