Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated and air conditioned! 

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

6 techs, 2 shop attendants, 1 parts person, 1 service writer, 1 shop supervisor.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop Hours: M-F 7:00AM – 5:00PM (no Saturdays) Shifts: 7:00AM – 3:30PM, 8:30AM – 5:00PM 

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Larger shop tools (3/4" drive +), specialty tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

Separate breakroom with running water, coffee, A/C, water cooler, microwave, television.

How many bays does your shop have?

3 double length drive-through bays, 1 half-bay, 1 drive through wash bay.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Varies

What is your parts ordering process?

Technician diagnoses repair and confers with parts person to order parts.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work in shop not allowed due to liability.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Shop is equipped with tractor/trailer lifts, DPF cleaning machine, tire dismount/mount/balancer machine.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer PACCAR online training – 40 hrs/yr goal, various onsite vendor training, offsite manufacturer training, and more.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Once hired, an employee's career path plan is initiated and monitored though performance reviews (technical and managerial available). We also offer transfer opportunities between our various locations.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We complete performance reviews every 6 months and merit reviews on an annual basis.

What type of safety training is required?

Any job-related required safety training is managed in house.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

New employees are assigned with tenured techs on a rotational basis based on experience level and need.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We support local charities and shelters through events like fundraisers, sponsoring events, food drives, etc.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We actively seek out partnerships with industry-related institutes.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We look forward to advancing our technicians in the future of trucking, electric and hydrogen powered vehicles.

Visiting the Shop, meeting the Shop Manager and taking a tour the facility.

Yes, all new hires a required to undergo a background check.

Not at this time.

You can expect a response in 1-3 business days.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Once an offer is extended, our company honors the timeframe in which a new hire requires to close out previous employment on good terms. We would, of course, welcome a new hire as soon as possible. 

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $60,320 - $87,360/year ($29.00 - $42.00/hr)

Paid weekly via direct deposit.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $49,920 - $60,320/year ($24.00 - $29.00/hr)

Paid weekly via direct deposit.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $39,520 - $49,920/year ($19.00 - $24.00/hr)

Shop Attendant Pay Range: $33,280 - $39,520/year ($16.00 - $19.00/hr)
