Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Heated and heated floors. No AC.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We are a growing dealership with 50 technician stalls in operation between express maintenance, repair, and reconditioning.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open Monday through Saturday 7:00AM - 6:00PM, closed Sundays. Scheduled hours vary depending on the technician team you join.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all tools needed to Express Technicians and all heavy equipment and Toyota specific required tools to Repair Technicians.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our technician break room includes a TV, small kitchen, and coffee machine.

How many bays does your shop have?

50 technician bays and 2 alignment bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?


What is your parts ordering process?

Our parts ordering process is paperless and can be done at technicians' computer, tablet, or cell phone in order to optimize technicians' time.

What is your policy on side work?

Technicians are welcome to work on their personal vehicle during their own time as shop time allows with an open RO.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes. We offer in-house training to aspiring technicians as well as continuing education through Toyota.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We promote from within and offer pathways from Basic Express to Advanced Express and on, up to Master Technician. We are always willing to send aspiring technicians to Toyota training for certification.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are held annually as well as any time a new certification is achieved.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training is required at the time of hire and during monthly safety meetings.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Younger technicians have plenty of support from Team Lead Technicians on repair teams, Crew Chiefs in Express Maintenance, as well as their fellow team members. We may be a big dealership but still have a family feel environment where everyone helps each other out when needed.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our dealership partners with the KGW food drive, Pink Lemonade Project charities and various local events in our community.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work closely with Toyota and Clark College in supporting the T-TEN technician training program as well as sponsor our local High School level technician program, Cascadia.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes. Our application form can be found on our website under the employment tab: The application takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?


What do your in-person interviews entail?

Phone interviews are kept brief discussing applicant's expectations and minimum job requirements before the in-person interview.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We perform pre-employment background checks and drug screens.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Yes. Skill assessment is done verbally during the interview and consulting by with references.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $55,000 - $130,000/year

Toyota Master and Master Diagnostic level certification. Flat rate position.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $35,000 - $80,000/year

Toyota Expert level certification. Flat rate position.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $45,000/year

Toyota Certified level certification. Flat rate position.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $35,000/year

Entry Level Maintenance Technician. Hourly position.

RV Technician Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year

RV Service Technician Needed! Flat rate position up to $25.00 per hour.

Health insurance is available through Kaiser Insurance after 60 days of employment.
Dental Insurance Offered
Dental insurance is available through Metlife Insurance after 60 days of employment.
Vision Insurance Offered
Eye exams are available through Kaiser Insurance after 60 days of employment.
Retirement Plan Offered
Company 401k is available with a company match employees over the age of 18 after 1 year of employment. Employer match up to 2 1/2 percent on employee 5% investment.
Sick Leave Offered
Sick leave is available for all employees based on every 40 hours worked earns 1 hour of PTO.
Vacation Offered
Paid vacation is available after one 1 year of employment. 1 year=40 hours vacation 2-10 years=80 hours vacation 10-15 years=120 hours vacation 15+ years=160 hours vacation
Paid Holidays Offered
Holidays for which the dealership is closed are paid for hourly employees after 30 days of employment.
ST / LT Disability Offered
Optional long-term and short-term disability insurance plans are available after 60 days of employment.
Life Insurance Offered
Life insurance is provided to all after 60 days of employment.
Uniforms Offered
Toyota Technician uniforms are supplied and serviced weekly.
