We supply all OEM specialty tooling and any large shop equipment.

Most dealership have heated shop floors and exhaust Ventilation systems.

All our techs receive OEM Freightliner and Detroit factory training at our own training centers. We have a career path to get certified in both the engine and chassis categories. We also send our techs for Cummins engine training.

We perform annual reviews. Weekly communication huddles.

What type of safety training is required?

We have quarterly safety training requirements. Online learning management system to manage your testing and qualifications.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have built a very structured coaching program for new hires to support them on the floor after and during the training classes. Mentoring our employees to build a strong team in the end is our #1 objective.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We work close with local schools, Boy Scouts, and other businesses to keep an open pathway for the industry.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have some training partnerships with local schools. We are partnered with Freightliner Get Ahead program.

Yes - MVR and criminal history. Once hired we will send an offer letter. Once that's signed, a physical and drug screen required. *** If you have a CDL, we require an FMCSA clearinghouse query.

Skill assessment may be recommended for technicians.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $52,000 - $62,400/year ($25.00 - $30.00/hr)

Pay is based on location and applicant certification level. We also have efficiency bonus options. There are hourly and flat rate options available at most locations.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $41,600 - $52,000/year

Pay is based on location and applicant certification level. We also have efficiency bonus options. There are hourly and flat rate options available at most locations.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $16 - $18/hour

Health Insurance Offered
We offer a major medical policy to all Full-time, hourly employees immediately upon hire to help "bridge" a gap in health insurance. After 90 days of employment, standard medical insurance (PPO or High Deductible) is available to all Full-time hourly employees.
Dental Insurance Offered
We offer a dental plan to all Full-time, hourly employees, after completion of 90 days of employment.
Vision Insurance Offered
Vision Insurance is included with the standard medical policy.
Retirement Plan Offered
McCoy Group offers a competitive 401(k) retirement plan to full-time employees. Upon becoming eligible to participate, you will receive an enrollment packet and PIN letter from our plan trustee, Principal Financial Group. Employees are automatically enrolled at a contribution rate of 6% in a target fund based on their birth year; however, you have the option to waive participation or elect alternate funds and/or deferral rates at any point in time after you become eligible for the plan.
Sick Leave Offered
"Paid Time Off (PTO) is a benefit we offer to be used for vacation, personal days, and sick days. Different than a traditional time off program that specifies uses for Vacation, Personal Days or Sick Days, a PTO plan allows the employee to manage and use their paid time off for whatever reason they choose. New full-time hires and current part-time employees transitioning to full-time are eligible for PTO after 90 days of full-time employment. Full-time employees shall be regarded as those who are regularly scheduled to work at least thirty (30) hours weekly. Only full-time employees are considered benefit-eligible and receive a full benefit package. Part-time employees are those who regularly work less than thirty (30) hours per week."

Paid Holidays Offered
Full-Time employees will receive six(6) designated holidays each year. Hourly employees whose employment commences during a holiday week will not be paid for the holiday. To qualify for holiday pay, the employee must work their scheduled shift the days immediately before and following the holiday unless an absence has been approved.
