We have a second full service dealership in Columbus, Ohio at 5211 Kreiger Ct. Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is heated during colder months, and fans provide a comfortable atmosphere during warmer months.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 22 technicians on our Cleveland team, and would love to add more! We have 11 technicians on our Columbus Team.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Techs will work 1 shift, Monday-Friday. No weekends! Our Cleveland location offers two 2 shift options: - 5 day work week, from 8am - 4:30pm (8 hour shift, with a 30 minute lunch included) - 4 day work week, from 7am - 5:30pm (10 hour shift, with a 30 minute lunch included) If you work 4 10-hour shifts, you'll get either a Monday or Friday off. Both shifts include 2 breaks outside of lunch. Overtime is available but must be approved beforehand. Our Columbus branch operates 1 shift - Monday thru Friday 8am - 4:30pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Our shop supplies everything .75" and bigger. We have flooring tools, bushing tools, diagnostic equipment, and remote controlled light check wall mounts at each bay.

What type of break room facility is provided?

The Transport Services Café has microwaves, refrigerators, table, chairs, 2 wall-mounted TVs, and a few other standard amenities.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 16 bays attached to the main building and 2 bays by our outbuilding.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

About 800 each month

What is your parts ordering process?

We have our own parts warehouse where almost everything is in stock!

What is your policy on side work?

Not allowed

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

- We have a supportive team environment with the BEST group of technicians who share knowledge and support one another. - Our shop has undergone a handful of renovations in the past few years. We have a new parts warehouse (including a gym!) and are proud of our facility being in great shape. - Being a full service dealership, there is always work to be done! We are always busy and there is never a lack of work.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer training in our facility (i.e. welding), and also encourage our technicians to take training externally. If someone takes external training, our shop will help cover costs such as transportation and lodging.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We always look to promote from within for open positions. For example, some of our technicians have transitioned into sales roles. We always want to help our employees grow and build their knowledge.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are conducted every 6 months. Efficiency performance reviews are done weekly. Bonuses are provided after monthly efficiency reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training is provided as needed. A video reviewing safety procedures is given to new hires during their onboarding.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We will bring on trainees to work their way up to a fully-fledged technician. We have more seasoned technicians who support and mentor newer techs, answering questions and showing them best practices.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We donate to numerous charities, including Toys For Tots and families in need during the holidays. We have helped a local food bank during a food drive and sponsored a cycling team to support MS. We always try to give back to our community whenever we can.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have worked with Ohio Tech in the past, and are open to training students when possible.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We hope to continue growing! We acquired a new facility in Columbus 2 years ago. Our plan is to keep expanding - especially growing our mobile service division - and adding more bays.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

In-person interviews are preferred

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Our in-person interviews last about 20-30 minutes, and will allow us to talk with the candidate about their experience, skills, and what they are looking for in their next opportunity. If someone completes an application at our shop, we will conduct the interview right away.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We conduct a drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record check

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We will make an offer immediately after the interview

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

This could be as quick as 1 day, or as long as just a couple days.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000/year

A Level technicians start at $24/hour, but can make more depending on efficiency and experience. There is a monthly efficiency bonus, along with a tool allowance (up to $750).

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $50,000/year

B Level technicians start at $21/hour, but can make more depending on efficiency and experience. There is a monthly efficiency bonus, along with a tool allowance (up to $750).

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $38,000 - $45,000/year

B Level technicians start at $18/hour, but can make more depending on efficiency and experience. There is a monthly efficiency bonus, along with a tool allowance (up to $750).
