The shop is heated, however, it does not have air conditioning

A small team of 2 to 3 people
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Monday-Thursday 8 am to 5 pm Friday 8 am to Noon Saturday and Sunday - Closed
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Special Tools and Scanners are available for techs to use.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Small breakroom with a table, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and other odds and ends expected In a break room.
How many bays does your shop have?
We have 7 bays currently
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Over 100 per month
What is your parts ordering process?
The owner orders all parts, and requests submitted by the techs are filled quickly if possible.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work is allowed per request and approval from the owner.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We are a small family-owned shop with an old-school feel.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, we have many opportunities for growth and education. It is based on the situation and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

We provide assistance for online classes.

Skill development reviews with the owner as well as improvement plans if techs are struggling.
What type of safety training is required?
Basic shop safety is covered.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Older techs are expected to mentor and teach younger techs. Answer questions and help the team grow.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We donate to multiple local charities and events.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, we engage with local schools and educational industries.

We are just hoping to continue to grow and serve the community.

Yes, there is an application that takes under 15 minutes to complete

Yes, we also phone screen all applicants prior to the in-person interview.

Standard interview process as well as a shop tour and a discussion of their educational experience.

No we do not.

Yes, we seek to learn about what you know and have experience working on.

Roughly a day

A one-week turnaround is standard.

We are willing to work with you and help you learn, but we are also seeking applicants with some level of experience.
Automotive Service Technician
Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00/hour
Pay depends on experience. You work a 36-hour week but you get paid for 40.
