Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is very well insulated for those cold winter days makes it feel like summer. We have bay doors front and rear when open in the summer make it very comfortable .

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 4 full time Technicians 2 Service writers 1 Manager and 1 Finance specialist Our Head Tech is constantly training and helping Techs all day

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open Monday Thru Friday 8AM till 5PM

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all the shop equipment needed for all the work we perform. we also have a monthly budget for new and updating tools and equipment.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a lunch room on the second story with fridge microwave toaster oven and coffee maker and bottled spring water.

How many bays does your shop have?

6 bays: 4 10k ibs Lifts 1 12k ibs. drive on alignment lift 1 18k ibs. lift for medium duty trucks

How many repair orders do you average per month?

250

What is your parts ordering process?

Our service writers source all parts and sell all jobs.

What is your policy on side work?

Only personal vehicles.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are team flat rate averaging between 50 to 60 hours a week. New hires are paid hourly up to 60 days to get acclimated to the shop and were everything is.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer many different types of training 1 on 1 is ongoing every day . Monthly we have off premises training at several of our industry groups centers.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

In the ever changing industry we are always looking for our next stand out person . we always promote from within.

Can you describe your performance review process?

New hires are given 90 days for first review . And every year on there anniversary

What type of safety training is required?

We always make safety a priority Training starts on day one and continues throughout the year. we always stay in compliance with OSHA and our Insurance Company .

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Learning and growth is another daily routine . All of our staff loves to learn and more so to train anyone even our most seasoned personnel understands we don't know everything but together we can get through anything.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Since day 1 we have always supported the community that has supported us. We support local sports,drama,music,Vets,First responders local and national disasters . And we also support all our vendors and great local restaurants.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work with several trade schools and usually have 1 to 2 apprentices a year .

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Within 5 years we will be building an additional 14 bays in our upper lot.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

Over the years we have focused on always striving to get better and to identify defects . Every year we have had the ability to grow and that is achieved through positive reinforcement and some of the most amazing people i have ever had the pleasure to work with.

Our application takes about 5 minutes, applicants information, work history and references.

Yes we do

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Getting to know the applicant better, what they like and dislike, their strengths and what they struggle with. Family life, what they like to do on their time off, etc.

No we don't

Yes a written exam.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000/year ($28.85 - $43.27/hr)

Flat Rate pay Based On Efficiency and Productivity with bonus and profit sharing.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $60,000/year ($19.23 - $28.85/hr)

Flat Rate pay Based On Efficiency and Productivity with bonus and profit sharing.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $32,000 - $50,000/year ($15.38 - $24.04/hr)

Flat Rate pay Based On Efficiency and Productivity with bonus and profit sharing.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $31,200 - $42,000/year ($15.00 - $20.19/hr)

Lube Tech is and hourly position . Based On Efficiency and Productivity with bonus and profit sharing.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $31,200 - $60,000/year ($15.00 - $28.85/hr)

Hourly pay Based pay with bonus and profit sharing On Efficiency and Productivity

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $52,000 - $102,000/year

Hourly pay Based pay with bonus and profit sharing On Efficiency and Productivity

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $0 - $0/hour

Our Student Apprentice program is designed to teach basic safety and shop procedures with some hands on.

Top Shop Challenge: What are you most proud of from your technician team in 2022?

TJ prepping steaks paul brought in for lunch today. Steaks, mac and cheese, veggie tray and a chocolate cake! Merry Christmas!!

Top Shop Challenge - Do you do anything special for your team for the holidays?

Last year's Christmas party was at the shop with lots of food and drinks and games. This year we went out to Joey's Italian restaurant and had a nice dinner with our shop and their spouses.
