Approximately 1,500+ repair orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

We provide a designated parts person to handle all of our ordering. Technicians do not have to order their own parts.

Annual performance review- manager sits with tech and discusses career path Manager sits with tech monthly to discuss bonuses- techs are eligible for quarterly bonus paid up to $500 a quarter and up to $2,000 a year.

What type of safety training is required?

Follow safety policies and procedures. Ryder #1 priority is safety!

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Lower-level technicians will buddy up with senior technicians. Senior techs will be available to answer questions and help with repairs when time permits. Teamwork is a big part of our customer's culture.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Ryder as a whole company gets involved with a lot of charitable organizations.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes- we have a tech school program that our team reaches out with the most updated job openings. We also participate in local career fairs

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We're constantly looking to continue to grow as a company and gain more of a customer base. Putting the right people around us will help us achieve these goals

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes, it's all online and takes about 10 minutes.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, phone screen done with a company recruiter. Light screening to get to the in-person portion of the interview process.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Interview done with the shop manager. Discussion includes previous employment, skills and qualification, and job history.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes, we use a third-party company to do our backgrounds that include, drug testing (5 panels) criminal, employment, DOT medical card, and motor vehicle report.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No, skill assessment determined through the interview process.

Hiring Managers are encouraged to provide interview feedback within 24 hours of the interview taking place.

ST / LT Disability Offered
STD provides you with valuable financial protection in the event of a non-occupational illness or injury. STD benefit payments are based on your base pay on the date of your disability and do not include any overtime pay, bonuses, incentive pay or any other incentive compensation. Basic STD is provided by the Company at no cost to you. Basic STD provides 70% of your earnings up to a weekly maximum of $325. You may elect to purchase Additional STD coverage which provides 70% of your earnings with no weekly maximum. If you work in a state that provides disability benefits by law, Ryder System STD benefits will be reduced by the amount of state benefits you receive. LTD helps to replace a portion of your income if you are sick or injured and unable to work due to an occupational or nonoccupational disability. LTD benefits are based on your predictability earnings as of your last day worked. Pre-disability earnings is defined as the greater of: the average of the two years of total earnings as of August 31 of the prior year or your base pay as of August 31 of the prior year, whichever is greater. August 31 of any given year determines the level of benefits in place as well as the premiums you will pay in the next plan year. Basic LTD is provided by the Company at no cost to you. You may elect to purchase Additional LTD coverage to supplement the Company-provided benefit, up to 50% or 60% to a monthly payment maximum of $8,000, which extends the benefit payment period for up to 5 years. All LTD benefit payments are subject to reduction in benefits from other sources of disability income such as Worker’s Compensation or Social Security disability payments.
