Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

We have heaters and fans. We are close to the bays so we always have a breeze.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 8 total techs, 2 advisors, 2 porters. 3 Parts personell.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open from 8am-6pm and Saturday from 8am-1pm (Saturdays are a rotating shift, 1 every 6 weeks.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have All the Special tools you need, if not we will get them. New apprentices amy be eligible for a set of tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have an air-conditioned break room with microwaves, toaster oven and refrigerator.

How many repair orders do you average per month?


What is your parts ordering process?

We use Ford SMARTT, make requests through CDK mostly but the Parts department is very close.

What is your policy on side work?

We do no allow side work unless it's your vehicle or your family.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We have a great team that works very well with each other. We have a working shop foreman that is eager to help. We do a lot of laughing here, it's laid back and low stress. No Drama

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We have an apprentice program which is hands on training, computer classes with Ford STARS, the onto Ford classroom before getting certified.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Certified tech, earning great wages. Moving up to an Advisor and eventually training to be a service manager if that is where you intend to be.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We review one on one consistently along the way.

What type of safety training is required?

Basic training online.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have a great culture, where experienced techs help the younger ones

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We volunteer to work the food bank once every month. Our dealership donates $10,000 per month to them.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are currently working with local colleges to implement a program to be sponsored by the Keating Auto group.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We have been growing 8-10% every year, even during the pandemic.

We use the Cole Group, once you call in and interview with them, it's a few days.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $50,000 - $150,000/year

Ford Senior Master certified or Diesel certified $30.00-50.00 per flat rate hour

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $60,000/year

Ford Certified techs with multiple certifications $22.00-$30.00 per flat rate hour

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $50,000/year

Ford certified or close,to it. or ASE Certified

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $20,000 - $40,000/year ($9.62 - $19.23/hr)

Must have experience

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $48,000 - $100,000/year

Commision based including bonuses

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $13 - $16/hour

Looking for a career minded person. ready and eager to learn. must be mechanically inclined.
