parts are ordered and dispatched electronically.

What is your policy on side work?

you can work on your own vehicle in the shop during off time. An inspection repair order is written for tracking and insurance purposes.

big, clean, well-lit, climate-controlled shop. Built in toolboxes provided. Fun team of professional technicians.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

we offer an apprenticeship program with an experienced technician, as well as factory training available in multiple locations across the country.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

The sky is the limit! The service manager, regional fixed ops director as well as executives in the company have started as technicians. Or work from Express Tech/D-tech to C-Tech to B-Tech to A-Tech to Team Lead. Or move to an advisor position. We support whatever your goals are.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Annual reviews after 90 day/6 month review. Productivity reporting shared weekly.

What type of safety training is required?

basic lift and safety training is required and is provided.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Mentor techs are compensated train and work with mentees.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Through our Asbury Cares program, we work with local and national charities. 40 hours of volunteer time are available annually for team members.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are involved with several local vocational and tech schools, meeting with prospective and current students to discuss career options in the automotive industry.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Continuing to grow and to fulfill our vision of being the most guest-centric automotive retailer. We are going to do this by having the best team, doing the best service in the most transparent way that we can.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

touring the shop and having conversations with team leaders, service manager and the general manager of the dealership.

background checks and drug screens are required before job offers are made.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

we have applicants speak with a team leader who goes through skills.

up to three weeks, with background check and drug screen to have an official offer. Tentative offer, pending drug screen and background check will typically take less than a week, depending on your availibility and schedule.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $80,000 - $200,000/year

Tiered productivity bonuses and extremely competitive flat-rate hourly pay mean that A-techs can top out at $45/flat rate hour. Additional bonuses available for mentors and shop foremen. 40 hour guarantee

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $150,000/year

Tiered productivity bonuses and extremely competitive flat-rate hourly pay mean that A-techs can top out at $38/flat rate hour. 40 hour guarantee

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $100,000/year

Tiered productivity bonuses and extremely competitive flat-rate hourly pay mean that A-techs can top out at $30/flat rate hour. 40 hour guarantee

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $30,000 - $50,000/year

lube techs are hourly workers, paid commensurate with experience. Upward mobility is there, along with on the job training for the right person.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $200,000/year

Aggressive gross-profit percentages, with bonuses for CSI and spiffs.

Service Manager
Service Managers are responsible for management and overall health of the shop. Service Managers are typically focused on running an efficient shop that meets their financial goals. Other responsibilities can include staffing, performance evaluations, and financial analysis amongst many other responsibilities.
Pay Range: $0 - $200,000/year

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $15 - $17/hour

Collision Technician - A Level Pay Range: $50,000 - $150,000/year
