Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

We have improved the design and have a big azz fan in the shop in addition to work bay fans. Shop has great ventilation and stays cool.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have about 20 technicians and our team is like family

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Service hours are Mon-Fri 7-6 and Sat 7-4. Techs either work Mon-Fri 7-4 or 8-5 with a rotating saturday schedule. Techs can also elect to work every Saturday and take off every monday if preferred.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all the speciality Ford tools, newer Alignment Rack, Mobile Lift for Heavy Duty repairs, etc...

What type of break room facility is provided?

Typical area with AC to rest up and prepare your lunch.

How many bays does your shop have?


How many repair orders do you average per month?

2,000 based on 2021 numbers

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a large stock of parts ($600,000 in inventory). We attempt to locate and pick up if having the part will get the job done quicker.

What is your policy on side work?

Our policy is with management review can work on your and your immediate families vehicles in the shop.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer paid Facotry Training.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We offer many entry level positions where an employee can complete training on the job and be promoted in the company. Our Peer Mentor program takes someone with good work ethics and desire to move up and helps guide them through the process to become a skilled technician.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We analyze performance on a monthly basis. We will meet with the staff member and their leader and set objects discuss performance and plans.

What type of safety training is required?

Shop Safety training is required and in some cases Hazmat.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have our highest skilled techs in leadership roles. Two of our Senior Master Techs are assisting the training and helping in the shop on the job with our techs that are still learning the business.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We sponsor many events in Palm Coast and the surrounding areas.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are active with Seminole State (Ford Asset), Daytona State and J-Tech Institute.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We are excited with the growth we have experienced and look forward to how the service repair business we evolve.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Application form takes about 15-30 minutes to complete. Verifying employment can take up to one week to run necessary checks.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes if they prefer to talk on the phone but we are never to busy to meet in person.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Shop tour, can meet a few employees general Q&A about us and what we have to offer.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We are a drug free workplace and do run driving and criminal screening.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $60,000 - $110,000/year

$28.00 - $45.00 per flat rate hour, Income varies based upon skills certification and experience.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $46,000 - $70,000/year

$22.00 - $27.99 per flat rate hour, Income varies based upon skills certification and experience.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $38,000 - $55,000/year

$18.00 - $21.99 per flat rate hour, Income varies based upon skills certification and experience.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $31,200 - $35,000/year

$15.00 per hour, hourly with spiffs and bonus in addition. Income varies based upon skills certification and experience.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $100,000/year

Commission based on skills and ability.

We offer insurance with two providers and each have three levels of coverage. Insurance can start 60 days after the first new month start.
Dental Insurance Offered
We offer Dental insurance. Plans can start 60 days after first new month.
Vision Insurance Offered
We offer Vision insurance. Plans can start 60 days after first new month.
Retirement Plan Offered
We offer 401K or Roth both have match up to 1%. Can start at one year
Sick Leave Offered
After one year earn 1 sick day per quarter
Vacation Offered
After one year earn 1 week vacation. At year 3 earn second week of vacation. At year 7 earn third week of vacation.
Paid Holidays Offered
Holidays are paid when they fall on a normally scheduled work day. The holidays would include New Years, Memorial Day, Indepence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
ST / LT Disability Offered
We offer both Short Term and Long Term Disability covereage. Plans can start 60 days after first month start.
Life Insurance Offered
Life insurance offered plans can start 60 days after first month start.
Uniforms Offered
Uniforms and uniform cleaning provided.
