WE MAX AT 10 TECHNICIANS BETWEEN OUR QUICK LANE & MAIN SHOP. WE HAVE 3 SERVICE ADVISORS AND A SERVICE DIRECTOR. OUR PARTS DEPARTMENT CONSISTS OF 2 EXPERIENCED COUNTERMEN AND A PARTS MANAGER.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

SHOP HOURS: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00 AM TO 6:00 PM SATURDAY 8:00 AM TO 4:00 PM SUNDAY - CLOSED

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

THE DEALERSHIP PROVIDES ALL FORD SPECIAL TOOLS, FLUID EXCHANGE MACHINES JUMP BOXES, LIFTS SHOP RAGS, PICKERS, TABLES, AIR LINES AND CONNECTIONS.

What type of break room facility is provided?

AIR-CONDITIONED BREAKROOM & LOCKER ROOM.

How many bays does your shop have?

WE HAVE 18 BAYS PLUS 2 ALIGNMENT RACKS.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

WE AVERAGE OVER 1,000 REPAIR ORDERS PER MONTH.

What is your parts ordering process?

TECHNICIANS ORDER PARTS ELECTRONICALLY THROUGH CDK.

What is your policy on side work?

OFF-SITE AND AFTER-HOURS FOR ANY SIDEWORK.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

WE OFFER ALL AVAILABLE OEM (FORD) ONLINE TRAINING. WE COMPENSATE YOU FOR EACH PASSING CLASS TAKEN ONLINE OR IN-PERSON. WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TO CREATE A CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH A LOCAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL WHICH WOULD BE PROVIDED TO YOU AT NO COST.

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT! i KNOW TECHNICIANS THAT HAVE STARTED OUT AS LUBE TECHS AND ARE NOW MASTER CERTIFIED FORD TECHNICIANS. IT IS MOSTLY UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO PUT INTO YOUR JOB AND HOW FAR OU WANT TO GO.

Can you describe your performance review process?

OUR SERVICE DIRECTOR WORKS WITH TECHNICIANS ON A DAILY BASIS. EVERYONE KNOWS WHERE THE STAND AND WHAT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE UPON TO EXCEL AND GROW WITH US.

What type of safety training is required?

STANDARD SAFETY TRAINING.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

WE HAVE A VERY HELPFUL SHOP. ANYTHING YOU NEED IS THERE FOR YOU FROM TECH LINE TO HANDS-ON HELP FROM A SENIOR TECHNICIAN. WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR SHOP SUCCESSFUL.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

OUR DEALERSHIP REGULARLY DONATES TIME AND MONEY TO LOCAL CHARITIES.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

OUR SERVICE DIRECTOR REGULARLY SPEAKS TO VARIOUS TECH SCHOOL CLASSES AND ATTENDS LOCAL JOB FAIRS.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

WE SEE OUR SHOP AS ONE OF THE TOP LINCOLN/FORD SHOPS IN THE AREA RIGHT NOW. WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO COACH, TRAIN AND MENTOR OUR STAFF TO ENSURE WE REMAIN AT THE TOP IN FIVE YEARS.

WE PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS & DRUG TESTS FOR EVERY CANDIDATE PRIOR TO MAKING AN OFFICIAL JOB OFFER.

WE DO NOT PERFORM A SKILL ASSESSMENT.

DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS, YOU MAY HEAR FROM US IN 1 DAY OR UP TO 1 WEEK AFTER THE INITIAL INTERVIEW.

LENGTH OF TIME FOR OUR PROCESS IS USUALLY 2 WEEKS FROM APPLICATION TO INTERVIEW TO DRUG TEST/BACKGROUND CHECK TO RESULTS AND JOB OFFER. IT CAN BE LESS IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $65,000 - $92,000/year ($31.25 - $44.23/hr)

FORD MASTER CERTIFIED, FLAT-RATE TECHNICIAN (OTHER OEM MASTER CERTIFIED AND WORKING TOWARDS FORD MASTER CERTIFICATION). UNION SHOP.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year ($24.04 - $28.85/hr)

FORD ERTIFIED, FLAT-RATE TECHNICIAN (OTHER OEM CERTIFIED AND WORKING TOWARDS FORD CERTIFICATION). UNION SHOP.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $36,000 - $45,000/year ($17.31 - $21.63/hr)

EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN WITH ASE CERTIFICATION(S). UNION SHOP.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $25,000 - $32,000/year ($12.02 - $15.38/hr)

MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A EXPRESS OIL CHANGE SHOP OR 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN DEALERSHIP FACILITY. UNION SHOP.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $48,000 - $80,000/year

MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A SERVICE ADVISOR (PREFER DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE, BUT NOT REQUIRED), ABILITY TO PROFFESSIONALLY COMMUNICATE WITH ALL CUSTOMERS. EXCELLENT SALES SKILLS AND ABLE TO WORK WITH MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS AT THE SAME TIME.

Collision Technician - A Level Pay Range: $46,000 - $80,000/year ($22.12 - $38.46/hr)
