WE HAVE A CAPACITY FOR 5 TECHNICIANS AND 2 SERVICE ADVISORS.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

OUR SHOP HOURS: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 7:00 AM TO 6:00 PM SATURDAY 8:00AM TO 2:00 PM SUNDAY CLOSED

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

WE PROVIDE FOR SPECIAL TOOLS, FLUID MACHINES AND MOST LARGE TOOLS (PICKERS, TABLES, JACK STANDS, ETC.)

What type of break room facility is provided?

WE HAVE A BREAK ROOM WITH KITCHEN BASICS.

How many bays does your shop have?

WE HAVE 8 BAYS INCLUDING OUR ALIGNMENT RACK.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

WE AVERAGE APPROXIMATELY 700 REPAIR ORDERS PER MONTH.

What is your parts ordering process?

OUR PARTS COUNTER IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED IN THE SHOP.

What is your policy on side work?

SIDEWORK IS TO BE DONE OFF-SITE AND DURING NON-WORKING HOURS.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

WE OFFER ALL AVAILABLE OEM (FORD) ONLINE TRAINING. WE COMPENSATE YOU FOR EACH PASSING CLASS TAKEN ONLINE OR IN-PERSON. WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TO CREATE A CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH A LOCAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL WHICH WOULD BE PROVIDED TO YOU AT NO COST.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT! i KNOW TECHNICIANS THAT HAVE STARTED OUT AS LUBE TECHS AND ARE NOW MASTER CERTIFIED FORD TECHNICIANS. IT IS MOSTLY UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO PUT INTO YOUR JOB AND HOW FAR OU WANT TO GO.

Can you describe your performance review process?

OUR SERVICE DIRECTOR WORKS WITH TECHNICIANS ON A DAILY BASIS. EVERYONE KNOWS WHERE THE STAND AND WHAT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE UPON TO EXCEL AND GROW WITH US.

What type of safety training is required?

STANDARD SAFETY TRAINING.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

WE HAVE A VERY HELPFUL SHOP. ANYTHING YOU NEED IS THERE FOR YOU FROM TECH LINE TO HANDS-ON HELP FROM A SENIOR TECHNICIAN. WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR SHOP SUCCESSFUL.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

OUR DEALERSHIP REGULARLY DONATES TIME AND MONEY TO LOCAL CHARITIES.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

OUR SERVICE DIRECTOR REGULARLY SPEAKS TO VARIOUS TECH SCHOOL CLASSES AND ATTENDS LOCAL JOB FAIRS.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

WE SEE OUR SHOP AS ONE OF THE TOP FORD SHOPS IN THE AREA RIGHT NOW. WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO COACH, TRAIN AND MENTOR OUR STAFF TO ENSURE WE REMAIN AT THE TOP IN FIVE YEARS. OUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT AS WE PLAN TO BUILD A NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY IN AVON LAKE!

WE ASK YOU TO COMPLETE A STANDARD JOB APPLICATION WITH 1-2 REFERENCES TO START.

WE PREFER TO MEET IN-PERSON FOR INITIAL INTERVIEWS.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

THE INITIAL INTERVIEW WILL BE WITH THE SERVICE DIRECTOR IN MOST CASES. OUR GM MAY JOIN (IF AVAILABLE).

WE PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS & DRUG TESTS FOR EVERY CANDIDATE PRIOR TO MAKING AN OFFICIAL JOB OFFER.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

WE DO NOT PERFORM A SKILL ASSESSMENT.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS, YOU MAY HEAR FROM US IN 1 DAY OR UP TO 1 WEEK AFTER THE INITIAL INTERVIEW.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

LENGTH OF TIME FOR OUR PROCESS IS USUALLY 2 WEEKS FROM APPLICATION TO INTERVIEW TO DRUG TEST/BACKGROUND CHECK TO RESULTS AND JOB OFFER. IT CAN BE LESS IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

WE TRY TO BE AS FLEXIBLE AS POSSIBLE WHEN SCHEDULING INTERVIEWS AND GETTING CANDIDATES THROUGH TH HIRING PROCESS. EVENING AND WEEKEND INTERVIEWS ARE AVAILABLE AS NEEDED.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $62,000 - $85,000/year ($29.81 - $40.87/hr)

FORD CERTIFIED MASTER TECHNICIAN (OTHER OEM MASTER TECHNICIAN WORKING TOWARDS FORD MASTER CERTIFICATION).

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year ($24.04 - $28.85/hr)

FORD CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN (OTHER OEM CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN WORKING TOWARDS FORD CERTIFICATION).

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $0 - $0/year

ASE CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN WORKING TOWARDS FORD CERTIFICATION.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $0 - $0/year

LUBE TECH WITH 3 YEARS AFTERMARKET SHOP OR 2 YEARS DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $48,000 - $75,000/year

EXPERIENCED SERVICE ADVISOR WITH EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND ABILITY TO FOLLOW NICK MAYER SERVICE PROCESS. (3 YEARS DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED).
