Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated and not air conditioned but we do have big fans to generate circulation.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

You'd be working directly with 4 other Technicians. On top of that, our team at the location consists of sales and parts personnel that total 15 people.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The typical shift is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You also get a half hour lunch in addition to two 10 minute paid breaks.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have cranes, hoists (for a variety of equipment), OEM testing equipment and every Technician gets a laptop. Techs are required to supply their own general tools such as hand tools, air tools, etc.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a break room that has a refrigerator, microwave, pizza oven and stove.

How many bays does your shop have?

6 Bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Around 200

What is your parts ordering process?

Techs will look up parts, order it to a ticket and the parts people order the parts.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow any side work that conflicts with the day to day operations of our company. Side work can be done if approved by management.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We cater in food and drinks once a quarter. We like to promote internal relationships and drive our culture forward in a positive direction. Annual Christmas party that is all inclusive. Lots of other fun company events!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

OEM training as provided by Bobcat, Ski-Doo, SeaDoo, Yamaha, Honda, CF Moto and Scag.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We do an annual review and the review is based on your general performance.

What type of safety training is required?

Our insurance company comes in every 3 months to educate our team on best practices for safety.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We are very team oriented and will do everything we can to train you up. Our Techs typically go through training with our sister store in St. Nazianz.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are actively donating to non-profit organizations to help support our local communities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We support the Youth Apprentice program and are always looking for opportunities to educate young people about the industry.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Service is the foundation to all of our future growth. We have a big opportunity to expand based on the quality of talent we can get in our shop.

You will be interviewing with our General Manager and we will go through general questions to learn more about you.

We do not currently do any type of background check.

We typically get a feel for your technical ability throughout the interview process.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000/year ($21.63 - $26.44/hr)

Techs are paid hourly and overtime is available. We consider an A Level to be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair most everything with the equipment we service.
