What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
8:00am-5:00pm, 8:00am-7:00pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this is for maintenance techs only
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide GM special service tools, diagnostic equipment, a laptop, and all major equipment
What type of break room facility is provided?
Fridge, microwave, table, chairs, TV, games, cards, coffee maker

37 bays
How many repair orders do you average per month?
2,500
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts are ordered at the tech's stall through our DMS, advisors can assist with this as well. Our parts department will search for the parts, and our parts runner will get the parts needed to the technician
What is your policy on side work?
Techs can work on their own vehicle during off hours
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Paid GM training, and paid ASE and ICAR training. We also offer college tuition through our GM ASEP program
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We encourage training and career growth. We subscribe to the GM excellence program, we want everyone to continue and be world-class trained
Can you describe your performance review process?
We perform an annual review process. Discussion includes hours generated, any stumbling points in efficiency, where the employee wants to be in six months and how can we help them get there
What type of safety training is required?
We offer MSDS training, we also offer Red Cross CPR training
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Experienced technicians will be paired with more junior techs. They will be available to answer questions, and help through repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We participate in "Giving Back to the Community," we have Corvette Club meetings, Bike MS rides, Breast Cancer dunk tanks, and Meals on Wheels walks to name a few
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We participate in local lectures and career days
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We prefer phone screens, but we are open to phone screens if it works better for the applicant
What do your in-person interviews entail?
The Shop Foreman does most of the in-person interviews. Discussion includes experience, aspirations, personality fit, compensation, and the goals of the applicant
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We do background checks, and drug screens
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No formal skills assessment. Assessment is done through the hiring process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
A couple of days at the most
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00/year
Flat-rate payscale determined by experience, certifications, skill set, educational background
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00/year
Flat-rate payscale determined by experience, certifications, skill set, educational background
