M - F 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM S - 8:00AM - 4:00 PM Techs work 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, or 9:00AM - 6:00 PM

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All Mercedes Benz MFG specific tools including Laptops and diagnostic software. Shop provides built in tool boxes. Technicians are expected to have their own hand tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

2 Employee lunch rooms with microwave, fridge and vending.

How many bays does your shop have?

What is your parts ordering process?

Techs request parts through the electronic MPI system.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work to be done on site as it is an insurance issue.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Technicians appreciation lunches often, try to do once a month. Weekly training sessions with diagnostic tech with lunch provided. Technicians are sent to school regularly depending on availability of courses and training path. Highest production bonuses. Team building activities such as, bubble soccer, barbeque and softball teams.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Shop pays for completed and passed ASEs. Shop pays for MFG training both on site and off premise including : Travel, Lodging, Food, and time at class.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Our mission statement is Growth Powered By People! How far you go depends on you and your drive. We have had many techs become service managers and service managers become fixed operations directors and even general managers!

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance Reviews are each done at service manager's discretion.

What type of safety training is required?

Monthly safety meetings. On-line safety training at hire. Safety committee on site.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our senior technicians are afforded the opportunity to mentor new and upcoming techs.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

All Lithia stores are very involved in community events. Lithia Motors Inc. has great national community involvement including Lithia 4 Kids.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our local stores and national recruiters are very involved with local High School vocational programs . Lithia Motors Inc. is a preferred employer at all national vocational schools.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Applicants are phone screened by a recruiter and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled with the service manager.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

One on one question and answer with the service manager and shop foreman if available.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Assessments may be conducted prior to offer. Background, MVR and Drug Screens are conducted after offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

There are some assessments that are performed on line.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We try to keep in contact with our candidates and a rejection or offer is usually made within a week.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Depending on the number of applicants it usually takes less than a week.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00/year

Flat Rate MB certified Master Technician

B Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $69,000.00/year

Flat Rate Tech has some MB certifications and training for Master level.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $49,000.00/year

Flat Rate Apprentice technician training for MB certifications.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $28,000.00 - $34,000.00/year

Flat Rate Entry level technician able to perform L.O.F. and minor maintenance.
